All events take place at 1st Floor of the Rose Garden Tower at 170 Ngoc Khanh Street, Hanoi, except those noted otherwise. Remember to bring your ID with you. Members of the media are welcome to attend public events at the American Center. However, if you intend to being in still or video cameras, please contact the Media Team at least 24 hours in advance so we can determine whether the speaker is comfortable and, if so, request security access for your equipment. Please note that not all speakers will want to be filmed and interviewed. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Please join Lisa Wishman, U.S. Embassy-Hanoi’s Press Officer, for her monthly “60 Minutes with the Press Officer” program on Wednesday, May 4 at 3:30 p.m. where she will honor World Press Freedom Day with a session exploring her service as Press Officer, including her challenges and opportunities of working in Vietnam.
The CBS television network’s 60 Minutes, launched in 1968 while the Vietnam War was raging, is an American television newsmagazine program that uses a unique style of reporter-centered investigation. The program pioneered many of the most important investigative journalism procedures and techniques, including re-editing interviews, hidden cameras, and “gotcha journalism” visit to the home or office of an investigative subject. The New York Times has called it “one of the most esteemed news magazines on American television.”
If you plan to bring equipment into the Rose Garden, please register by Wednesday, May 4 at 9:00 a.m. at HanoiAC@state.gov in order to ensure access to the venue. Be sure to bring photo identification.
