Location: Northern Vietnam; possible heavy rainfall, extremely high winds, and possible flooding.
Event: Typhoon Mangkhut is expected to make landfall in the Northern region of Vietnam on September 17-18. Heavy rainfall with flooding is expected for the Northern and North-Central region provinces of Vietnam, especially in coastal locations.
Actions to Take:
- Avoid travel to Northern Vietnam until the storm has dissipated.
- Monitor the local news for updates.
- Seek secure shelter.
- Visit the Joint Typhoon Warning Center or Tropical Storm Risk for updated storm tracking information.
