Black History Month Celebration at the American Center

In honor of February Black History Month, Consulate officers Malikat Rufai and Cameron Thomas-Shah led a discussion on African-American history and traditions. The three-hour event including a presentation, questions and answers, quizzes, and team activities. The program concluded with an introduction of Charles Drew, inventor of the bloodbank, the Tuskegee Airmen, and the iconic music of Motown. Students talked, shared their thoughts, and enjoyed Motown rhythms, which made their experience at the American Center even more meaningful.
