The American Center of the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City (AC) is in the business of making connections: connections between Americans and Vietnamese, between local actors and U.S. organizations, between innovators and implementers, between the public and private sectors. Through these in-person and virtual connections, we work to foster innovation, build capacity, support diversity and inspire the next generation of leaders to develop ground-breaking solutions to shared issues and to work together to shape our common future.
Located in the heart of downtown Ho Chi Minh City, the AC houses a library and holds an average of 25-30 free events per month for Vietnamese students and young professionals, academics and subject matter experts. The target audiences are drawn to the Center’s numerous events and clubs, which focus on topics including professional skills development; entrepreneurship and innovation; science, technology, engineering and math (STEM); English language learning; and U.S. culture and values.
The American Center is open on Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except U.S. and Vietnamese holidays, and is also available for evening programs and events from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The AC is not a venue for individuals or entities to promote themselves, their products or services. All events must be non-commercial, non-partisan and free of charge for all attendees.
