The American Center of the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City (AC) is in the business of making connections: connections between Americans and Vietnamese, between local actors and U.S. organizations, between innovators and implementers, between the public and private sectors. Through these in-person and virtual connections, we work to foster innovation, build capacity, support diversity and inspire the next generation of leaders to develop ground-breaking solutions to shared issues and to work together to shape our common future.
Located in the heart of downtown Ho Chi Minh City, the AC houses a library and a media lab and holds an average of 25-30 free events per month for Vietnamese students and young professionals, academics and subject matter experts. The target audiences are drawn to the Center’s numerous events and clubs, which focus on topics including professional skills development; entrepreneurship and innovation; science, technology, engineering and math (STEM); English language learning; and U.S. culture and values.
The American Center is open on Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is also available for evening programs and events from 5 to 7 p.m. The American Center is not a venue for individuals or entities to promote themselves, their products or services. All events must be non-commercial, non-partisan and free of charge for all attendees.
Are you interested in partnering with the AC HCMC? Here are some ways that you can get involved.
Event partnership: Submit a proposal to use our space for an event that seeks to foster innovation, build capacity, support diversity and/or inspire the next generation. Please see our event guidelines and speaker guidelines.
Virtual partnership: Submit a proposal for a virtual program, which we can livestream or screen in our physical space and/or share online with American Center patrons and partners.
Technology partnership: Have an idea, but need access to the right technology to make it happen? Submit a proposal to use the American Center’s digital lab, home to cutting-edge technology, including 3D printers, professional video editing software, a green screen and much more.
Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis. Due to the high volume of proposal submissions, those submitted 8 weeks prior to the scheduled event or project are most likely to be successful.
Please note that if your partnership proposal fits with the American Center’s goals and if space and funds are available, we will contact you for additional details.
If you have any questions about the program proposal forms, please email us at email@example.com.
