Approximately 1,000 students competed in the week-long English Language Olympics hosted by American Center Ho Chi Minh City in February. At the closing ceremony, 25 medals were awarded to the best students who competed with their peers across the week in various English Language skill events including homophones/homonyms, spelling, freestyle speaking, conjunctions, rhyming words, and idioms.
This series, held on the tails of the 2014 Olympic Games, gave students an opportunity to develop English language skills in a friendly competition.
