Governor’s Visit to Deepen Oregon-Vietnam Cooperation

On Monday, October 19, Oregon Governor Kate Brown signed a Letter of Intent with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to deepen Oregon-Vietnam cooperation on trade and investment, education and training, urban planning, environmental protection, and people-to-people ties.

Ambassador Ted Osius, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc, and representatives from four provinces attended the signing ceremony.  The Governor also met with the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to discuss opportunities to expand cooperation between Oregon and Vietnam.

Governor Brown led a 30-person delegation of state and ‎business representatives to Vietnam and was the first sitting Oregon Governor to visit Vietnam. Click here to see more photos.
