Commitment, Relevance, and Passion: How Colleges View and Weigh Applicants’ Extracurriculars

Speaker: Cristina Bain, Independent Education Consultant

Independent Education Consultant Cristina Bain will lead a conversation examining what colleges and universities are looking for when they evaluate a candidate’s extracurricular and super-curricular profile. In an increasingly competitive study abroad process, we will explore how to fill your life and your application with *meaningful* activities. Using sample profiles and lots of concrete examples, Cristina will help students of any age think about the options available. Extracurriculars are (after all) about personal and intellectual development to help you prepare for the next stages of your life, not just a boost to your chances at a top university.
