From November 17-21, Information Resource Officer Wendy Zaman traveled to Da Nang, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City to meet with several contacts in different universities and libraries. In Da Nang, she met with Ms. Phan Thi Thu Nga, Director the Information and Learning Resource Center, Da Nang University. Next in Hue, Wendy gave a talk entitled “Experiences in Library Development to Attract More Patrons”, and delivered a presentation on writing good essays to students at Hue university.
In Ho Chi Minh City, she paid a visit to the library of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and HUTECH University. Wendy also met with 7 library directors from universities on Nov. 26 and gave a presentation on how to find good information on the Internet and evaluating websites to 100 students at the American Center. She also provided a hands-on training on Dewey Decimal to all interns.
