HANOI, October 19, 2020 – The U.S. Mission in Vietnam expresses our deepest condolences to the Government and people of Vietnam as they mourn tragic losses in the 337th Division, Military Region 4 in Quảng Trị Province, as well as those soldiers and officials killed conducting rescue missions in Thừa Thiên Huế Province, and dozens of others who have perished as flooding and landslides continue to affect Central Vietnam. We stand ready to assist Vietnam address the damage caused by this terrible flood and send our deepest sympathies to all affected by this tragedy.
