From May 7-9, English Language Fellow (ELF) Amanda Hilliard conducted English teaching methodology workshops at Quy Nhon University, Phu Yen University, Nha Trang University and Nha Trang College of Education. Over 160 university and college teachers as well as graduate students of English participated in the workshops. ELF Amanda Hilliard discussed teaching integrating cultural aspects into English teaching while avoiding stereotypes, and teaching English metaphors and idioms. She also led discussions with local teachers on motivating active class participation and promoting effective group work in the classroom.
