In order to protect both visa applicants and our staff in response to the evolving COVID-19 situation, as of March 19, 2020, the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City has suspended walk-in immigrant visa services. At the time of your visa interview, if you were given a blue Form OF-194 (marked R1 at the top) indicating that you needed to submit additional documents, please DO NOT return to the Consulate at this time. If you have ALL of the required documents ready, you may submit ALL of them in one envelope and include the passports of all applicants in your case. You may then submit your envelope free of charge by postal mail as instructed here: http://bit.ly/send-doc.
For immigrant visa applicants who received a blue Form OF-194 marked R2 at the top, no appointments are currently available. When we are again able to offer appointments, we will update this notice.
