U.S. Mission Vietnam’s Consular offices will be closed for the “Tet” holidays:
Wednesday, February 14, 2018 through Tuesday, February 20, 2018
The Consular offices will re-open on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
To ensure sufficient time to process services for U.S. citizens, especially processing and returning passports before Tet, we ask that you please follow the schedule below for submitting applications and picking up your new passports:
- If you need to have your new passport before the Tet holidays: you should apply before February 05, 2018. If you apply for a passport on or after February 05, 2018, please expect that your new passport will not be available until after the Tet holidays.
- The Consular offices will continue accepting passport applications and will be open for passport pick up through February 12, 2018.
For Tet holidays, most Government of Vietnam offices, including city and provincial offices, will also be closed. Please note that we will be unable to provide non-emergency U.S. Citizen and visa services during this time.
