Request an Emergency Passport

Information on U.S. passports and fees is available on the State Department’s website. If you are applying for a passport, you will need to provide a passport photo that meets our requirements. All consular fees are payable in U.S. Dollars or Vietnamese Dong in cash, or with the following credit cards/ debit cards in U.S. Dollars: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We do not accept checks.

If you have urgent travel plans, we can assist you by issuing an emergency passport.  Such passports will be limited in validity, and cannot be extended (validity depends on the case but maximum validity is up to one year).

Passport holders are required to exchange their limited validity passport for a full-validity photo-digitized passport upon completion of their emergency travel, either through passport facilities in the U.S. or at U.S. Embassies and Consulates abroad.

To apply for a routine passport service, please schedule an appointment. If you have an urgent need for a routine service, please request an expedited appointment by contacting us.  Appointments for U.S. Citizen Services are free. Please contact us if you would like to report fraudulent activity related to our services.

Important! With the exception of emergency services, all U.S. citizen services must be scheduled in advance.
