U.S. Mission to Vietnam Introduces New Visa Application Services on February 22

As part of the U.S. Mission to Vietnam’s ongoing efforts to streamline the visa application process, the Embassy in Hanoi and Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will implement a new, expanded system of services for visa applicants.

Beginning February 22, 2014, the following services will be available, at no additional cost once the visa application fee has been paid:

  • Payment of application fee for nonimmigrant and fiancé visas accepted at 16 branches of HSBC and 1,500 branches of Vietnam Post
  • Dedicated website for appointment scheduling (nonimmigrant and fiancé visas) and visa information at www.ustraveldocs.com
  • Call Center open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (local time) for visa inquiries or assistance in application process
  • Passport delivery for approved visas

The United States is committed to meeting the ever growing demand for visas to the United States.  In 2013, the U.S. Mission to Vietnam processed more than 80,000 nonimmigrant visa applications, a growth of more than 10% over the previous year.  Our new visa services system is just one part of our larger effort to improve services to the Vietnamese traveling public.
