U.S. Mission Vietnam
Message for U.S. Citizens
December 01, 2021
The U.S. Embassy in Hanoi and U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City are conducting an annual verification of STEP enrollments. Please log in to your STEP account to verify that your profile, phone numbers, email address, travel dates, and location in Vietnam are up-to-date. If you are not able to make those changes yourself, you can reach out to us on our inquiry form.
If you are visiting or living in Vietnam, and have not yet enrolled in STEP, we strongly encourage you to do so! STEP is a free service to allow U.S. citizens and nationals traveling and living abroad to enroll their trip with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
Benefits of Enrolling in STEP:
- Receive important information from the Embassy and Consulate about safety conditions in your destination country, helping you make informed decisions about your travel plans.
- Help the U.S. Embassy or Consulate contact you in an emergency, whether natural disaster, civil unrest, or family emergency.
- Help family and friends get in touch with you in an emergency.
Please see the U.S. Mission in Vietnam’s COVID-19 Information Page for additional information regarding the COVID-19 situation in the country: https://vn.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/covid-19-information/.
The U.S. Mission in Vietnam reminds all U.S. citizens that they are subject to local laws and regulations while visiting or living in Vietnam. We advise U.S. citizens to comply with the Government of Vietnam’s testing and quarantine requirements.
