Message for U.S. Citizens
September 16, 2021
Hanoi authorities announced they have opened two sites especially for foreigners to receive COVID-19 vaccinations. Vaccinations for foreigners will be offered beginning at 8am on September 16 until 5pm or as supplies last. The two locations are at My Dinh Stadium in Nam Tu Liem District and St. Paul’s Hospital in Ba Dinh District.
Hanoi authorities advise there will be interpreters onsite to assist with any issues that arise. People hoping to get vaccinated should bring their IDs with them and observe the 5Ks for COVID-19 prevention.
Additionally, over the next couple weeks, COVID-19 restrictions will be different across the city as some areas begin to loosen social distancing measures while others remain under Directive 16. Aside from the news, be sure to check with local friends, landlords, employers, or ward-level government to be aware of the most up-to-date information for each ward and/or district.
Please see the U.S. Mission in Vietnam’s COVID-19 Information Page for additional information regarding the COVID-19 situation in the country: https://vn.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/covid-19-information/
The U.S. Mission in Vietnam reminds all U.S. citizens that they are subject to local laws and regulations while visiting or living in Vietnam. We advise U.S. citizens to comply with the Government of Vietnam’s testing and quarantine requirements.
U.S. citizens should refrain from gathering in large groups and monitor local news and government restrictions to avoid travel disruptions. Government of Vietnam regulations regarding business operations, quarantine, movement, and travel restrictions in all parts of Vietnam can change with little notice.
