On June 9, EducationUSA hosted an oral examination orientation for the Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) Fellowship and Visiting Scholar Programs at the American Center. Dr. Lynne McNamara, VEF Executive Director, gave a lively talk about building confidence and how to best prepare for fellowship and grant interviews. More than 100 participants including VEF applicants and students aiming for U.S. graduate scholarships in the future learned from the firsthand experience and insights of VEF Fellows who successfully passed the interviews in 2014. At the end of the session, current VEF applicants had the chance to learn about each other and discussed their shared areas of research interest in groups.
